IT ALL STARTED WITH WANTING TO REMEMBER THINGS EXACTLY AS THEY FELT

I'm Marisa, the photographer, heart, hands and eyes behind the camera. Before MacLachlan Studio came to life, I was just a momma on a mission to photograph her babies, but artistically. I wanted to look at my photos and FEEL something, I wanted to be transported back to those precious moments I was photographing. When I lost my dad when I was 17 years old I just remember feeling so sad and angry for the lack of photos of him that transported me back, and SO! my mission came to life! The quiet reaches of a hand. The laughter that radiates. The way people look at each other when they think no one is watching. I'm here for it all, and over 12 years later I'm still just as in love with documenting the moments that matter the most. I truly can't wait to capture where you're at right now.
